Opening night for Don Giovanni! A lively, creative show that really plays up the comedic aspect of this famous opera buffa, Opera Atelier’s Don Giovanni is absolutely divine. At the post-show reception at the Westin, I got to get dressed up and drink fancy-ass wine (on somebody else’s bar tap) and schmooze with some of the most talented humans I’ve ever met. I am so overwhelmingly grateful for this opportunity…operatunity (BAH). My mind is made up. I want to go to a conservatory after Kenyon. I know it’s the biggest pipedream EVER EVER EVER, but I just know I’m gonna kick myself if I get to the end of my years and ask why I didn’t at least give this world a try. If there’s even the slightest chance to be a part of productions like this in the future, then I really do think it’s worth it. Sometimes you just gotta put a little trust in the world.
Oh, and one more thing. Today is my six month anniversary of Project 365. Damn, you go gurl.
^^wonderful human bean.
